DPL, this is some deja vu hearing about the pharma trolls etc. Ten years ago during the anti-GMO battles with Monsanto here in the US, it was the same thing. Anyone who was critical of GMOs would get attacked by trolls. But the situation was exactly what you are talking about here...

So Pharma doesn't even really need to hire trolls... Many people strongly believe in and fear 'the virus' and vaccines are their protective sacraments... You might as well try to debate a Catholic about the existence of the devil... I think that's why you are finding it so frustrating trying to get through to people. To many of them, it's a belief and mere facts aren't going to change their mind. Also it's a tribal belief (their tribe believes in viruses and loves vaccines, so they automatically do as well... and they hate anyone who questions viruses or points out that vaccines are concoctions of poisons). And needless to say, it's a massive, mega-profitable industry as well so huge commercial interests are at stake.
Anyway you mention Polio and then skip to 'HIV' AIDS in your list of fake virus pandemics, but there is another one right before 'HIV' that is really worth studying-- the 'swine flu' scam of 1976. In some ways it is more of a proto-'covid' than 'HIV' was. In short, some military people got sick on a base (I think it was after getting a bunch of experimental vaccines) and OF COURSE the CDC assumed it was a 'new virus.' CDC assumed (as they always do) that it could be worse than the '1918 flu virus.' So OF COURSE the whole government / pharma / CDC machine kicked into gear creating a 'warp speed' vaccine, and OF COURSE assumed that everyone has to be injected. 40 million Americans got the vaccine, and a lot of people got Polio (or as they call it now, Guillain-Barre etc). But in that case, the press actually existed and bad reports about the debacle caused the government to stop the harmful vaccine and scamdemic in its tracks.
That's the big difference with 'covid,' because now the media is owned by the government and pharma and no facts were allowed to get out to most people about 'covid' or the vaccines. So it was all hysteria and lies, all the time for YEARS. There was no 'relief valve' to expose any truth and get the thing stopped.
Anyway, after the 1976 debacle the government hired an outside firm to create a 'post-mortem' or after-action report. I think it's interesting and worth reading:

To clarify, that is definitely NOT the case in the US, which experienced a huge increase in deaths in 2020 (and 2021 & 2022) that was unprecedented for at least the last 55 years. There were over 528k more deaths in 2020 than there were in 2019--an increase of 18%--compared to an average historical increase of only 1% per year.
50k of those deaths occurred over just 8 weeks in the NYC metro area--after which deaths abruptly returned to normal.
